The process is now at full speed. I got the chance to speak to the church this last weekend about what I'll be doing in the Philippines and how they can be praying and support me. So many people came up to me and just encouraged me afterwards. I am so eternally grateful for the people at Wayside. I got most of my support letters out. If you didn't get one and would like one, email me at [email protected]. I would love to send you one. A few came back with wrong addresses too. My account is up and running and support raising has started. I am so excited and seeing just how faithful God is in all this. I am busy reading prep material, curriculum planning, learning Tagalog (filipino), getting the rest of life together to leave, working, and finishing up school. Life is very very busy but exciting at the same time. Here are some prayer requests that I have:
1. Organization and discipline. I often feel overwhelmed and lost in all that needs to be done, so I just ask that you pray for discernment as I figure out where my time is best spent.
2. Support raising. This is a rough and somewhat awkward process. Pray for God's hand in all this.
3. Finishing up school well. I have five weeks left and I am student teaching at Bulverde Creek Elementary School. I am loving it, but it does make for a very busy week with everything else that is going on. I am there 40-50 hours a week. To the right is a picture of one of my classes.
4. I have one more big state exam coming up (date tba) and I have very little time to prep and study for it. I am waiting to get approved to take it and there seems to be a hold on that. Pray that it all works out and I get approved to take it soon.
