The Lord continues to teach me new things and work in crazy ways. Yesterday I found out that I have a stress fracture in my knee (the head of the tibia). I believe I did it through running. So, all that to say that I am on crutches for 6 weeks. It has been a long week already since I started using them on Sunday evening and elementary physical education is quite a chore on crutches. God is teaching me about rest and how to ask for help. It has been cool to see people step up and help out. That is incredibly encouraging to me.
I have been in contact with several EFCA churches about joining my support team and three have gotten back to me. I have a meeting with Hillside Fellowship on May 4th at 8am with their missions committee. North West Community Church said they passed their information along to their missions committee and should be getting back to me soon. North East Bible Church said that they are not actively looking for missionaries to support but asked me to fill out their application anyway and we would discuss it more.
Prayer Requests:
1. Patience with my knee and the slowness of life it brings.
2. Figuring out finances now that I can't work for 6 weeks.
3. Time management and discipline to get things done for applications and assignments.
4. As always, that God would continue to work in the support area.
Thanks for praying for me!
